Transferring your look from day to night can be tricky to plan for. With an outfit you can throw on a coat and be warm without clashing with your wardrobe; in fact, you'll be accentuating it! But your footwear is different. You need to be prepared for the changes in weather that night brings, the changes of atmosphere and changes of social circles. In cases like this, all you need to plan ahead a little bit. Here are some helpful tips to keep in mind when going on a run from dawn past dusk.
1. Heading out in the morning to a meeting but hitting up a party later on? Don't stress! Your clothes can transfer easily into the night time scene, but making sure your shoes do, too, is a bit trickier. The best thing you can do to ensure a smooth transfer is to avoid wearing uncomfortable business heels. Wear ankle boots underneath your trousers or ballet flats that still have a professional tone.
2. If it's the weekend and you will be attending the beach all day, it's easy to go straight from beach in the evening to a family dinner at night without looking too casual. Sandals are busy replacing the traditional professional shoe in the workplace, and everybody is wearing them. These sandals are flat, gladiator-like in appearance and embedded with stylish stones, rhinestones or beading. They look hip yet they emanate a sense of elegance. You can wear these all day at the beach and slip on a dress to pair them with, effectively turning them into a chic shoe.
3. In the winter time, slouch boots look good from sunrise to sunset and beyond. You can wear this style with skinny jeans or leggings and it will always look good. They are comfortable and they will look classy. Just choose the colour you best prefer, from green suede to the classic browns and blacks. They create the illusion of longer legs on shorts girls and accentuate the natural assets of tall, lean ladies. For the evening, they can be paired with a long sleeved dress and tights to keep warm!
4. Ankle boots look good in the morning, paired with the basic jean, capris, harem pants or whatever you're coupling the shoes with. These shoes can transfer into the night time atmosphere very well because they are versatile. They'll keep your feet warm, but a boot is the basic partying staple besides heels, and they are far more comfortable than any stiletto is going to be!
5. Ballet flats. They're as simple as going barefoot. You can slip them on and off in the car to let your feet breathe and they look good with jeans, trousers, skirts, dresses, skinnies, harem pants and much more making them easily transferrable from day to night. It's up to you how you pair them!
